Cognitive Ability & Plasticity Lab

PARTICIPANTS NEEDED

The research team of Dr Claudia von Bastian at the Department of Psychology is looking for people between 18 and 85 years to participate in a study on the effect of brain training. You will receive financial compensation for your participation.

The study consists of:

10 sessions of brain training of about 30 minutes each at home on your own computer within 2 weeks.
6 visits of about 2 hours each to the Cognitive Ability and Plasticity Lab at the University of Sheffield to complete a number of computer-based tests.

The testing will take place at The University of Sheffield, Department of Psychology, Cathedral Court and Solly Street, Sheffield City Centre.

Timeline of the study

Week 1:
2 pre-training assessments (2 x 2 h)
Week 2 & 3:
10 brain training sessions (10 x 30 min)
Week 4:
2 post-training assessments (2 x 2 h)
Follow-up after 3 months:
2 follow-up evaluations (2 x 2 h)



To be eligible to participate, you should

x Be between 18 and 85 years old
x Have access to a computer with internet
x Be fluent in English
x Be in good health
x Be willing to be actively involved in this study for 1 month and for a follow-up 3 months later (total of 6 visits to the Department of Psychology)
